Resolution Reports RESOLUTION greatly simplifies the creation of ad hoc reports. Reporting involves three elements: Data management: the management of all of the data required for the report is already in place with REPOSITORY, which provides a single location for ALL plant data. Data manipulation: reports traditionally require extensive, burdensome, calculations and procedural logic to obtain the desired results. With RESOLUTION, all of this is included within the database. Accessing one of the innumerable ‘fact-views’ already within the database provides the results directly. Data presentation: Presentation is left to the users. In this way they get exactly the style and format that they seek. RESOLUTION includes the RELOADER Excel add-in and BusinessObject’s Universe to facilitate this. Fact Views RESOLUTION provides a large number of fact-views that present the data in a simple and usable format and insulate users from the intricacies of the database structure. For example one view will provide the movement quantity, of any commodity, for any period of time, from any source, to any destination, via any route, for any property, in any units-of-measure.
