Resolution Products Resolution is a suite of products and services to enable effective integration of data, users and application systems in a process facility. Repository Repository is a fully implemented data model that encompasses virtually all activities within a process plant. It has a proven database structure capable of managing the majority of plant information, thus REPOSITORY can act as a warehouse for plant data. Reevaluator is an on-demand calculation system built in to the Resolution database. It allows a request for a value to be answered by execution of custom code stored in the database as an agent. Regenerator is the code generator for the REPOSITORY database. Because REPOSITORY uses a rigorous object-orientated design methodology (Objective SQL), it is possible to automatically generate a very large proportion of the database code required for building and managing the REPOSITORY database. Reloader is a Bulk Data Loading and Reporting Excel add-in within the REPOSITORY database. It facilitates bulk loading and unloading of data, it provides tools for developing custom reports and enables users to issue ad-hoc queries to the database. Relayer Relayer provides a site with true plug-and-play integration of applications. Any application attached via Relayer to the Resolution system does not need to know the specifics of any other application. Relayer handles all of the messaging routing and translation. Relayer Interfaces to many industry standard products have already been developed. Real-Time APIs provide transparent access to data in real-time data historians through the Resolution database. Active data displays can combine real time data with information from other site databases. Users do not have to not know where data are being stored. APIs currently supported in this manner are. XML and STEP message formats are supported by Resolution. Resolver Resolver is an OLE capable, object oriented user interface for RESOLUTION. It enables the user to select a plant resource (equipment item, document, process tag) to work on either from a browser application or from an embedded object. RESOLVER then displays all applications that can be run to find additional information on the resource. Applets and configurable applications are provided with Resolution. These applications and applets are designed to perform specific focused tasks. Navigation between them is accomplished using OLE linking. This architecture enables custom work flows to be easily accommodated by data configuration alone. Reviewer displays DWG and DXF files and allows users to 'hot-link' database objects onto any of the displayed graphical elements. These 'hot-links' then provide the user direct access to database information by clicking on a drawing element. VB Scripting is part of the Resolution database. A full-featured VB scripting language can be used to create custom workflow paths and applications. Resolution provides integrated editors and debuggers for the scripts stored in the Resolution database. RIS-Net is a complete environment for the creation and deployment of web-based user interfaces.
