Solon, Ohio May 2003 – Resolution Integration Solutions, Inc. to provide MES to Q-Chem via the RESOLTUION product, integrating the data and applications at the Phillips QGPC joint venture site.
The Resolution System including the new RISnet web interface is to provide plant operators and managers the information they need to make products; to evaluate product quality; and to monitor manufacturing progress and the health of the equipment that is used in it.
The Resolution system consists of seven integrated applications integrating data from four different manufacturing and financial systems. Production Scheduling, Material Balance and Data Reconciliation, Operations Monitoring, Operator Instructions, Recipe Management, Lot Tracking, KPI (Performance Monitoring) are all to be implemented using Resolution. Resolution is also used to integrate data from the SAP ERP financial system, OSI PI plant historian, Identitech’s electronic document management system, and StarLIMS laboratory system.
Q-Chem is a joint venture between the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation
(QGPC) and Phillips Petroleum Company. The plant is located in Mesaieed, Qatar.
The plant’s primary produce is polyethylene but also has the facilities
for producing ethylene, hexene-1 and other by-products.
