Matrikon™ acquires Resolution Integration Solutions to advance industrial intelligence infrastructure
Edmonton, AB - April 27, 2005 Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK), a leading provider of solutions for industrial intelligence, today announced that its U.S. subsidiary (Matrikon International, Inc.) has acquired the business of Resolution Integration Solutions, Inc. (RIS). Headquartered in Solon, Ohio, RIS is a plant management information system technology company. Nizar J. Somji, president and CEO of Matrikon, commented on the acquisition: "The RIS technology will fast track our vision of a backbone that will forever change how process and manufacturing information is managed and used and will add significant value to our client’s existing technology investments". This enables industrial facilities to assimilate the information and data that typically resides in isolated silos throughout the enterprise.
