Inspection Equipment Management Inspection points can be managed as active 'points' within a standard AutoCAD (DWG/DXF) drawing and viewed via REVIEWER. 'Double-clicking' on the test point brings up a menu of actions Inspection Scheduling The RESOLUTION application built upon the standard RESOLUTION tools of RELAYER messaging, RESOLVER applets and navigation,and REPOSITORY database structures is shown below. Testing is controlled through RELAYER messages. These either are generated on a predetermined schedule by the REMINDER module, or scheduled by a calculation that has determined that tests should be more frequent. In either case, the inspection task is performed in response to these messages. Test Calculations The RESOLUTION system allows calculations to be performed when a message is received, or on retrieval of data from the database. These calculations have access to all of the data in RESOLUTION and they can be of arbitrary complexity. Calculations such as remaining lifetime would be scheduled whenever a new result enters the database. The calculation is then automatic. In case of a substantial deterioration, another test can be scheduled or an alert sent out. Reporting Results can either be displayed interactively via existing RESOLVER applications, via Excel based reports created using the RELOADER add-in, or using a reporting tool such as BusinessObjects. In the latter case, RESOLUTION includes a universe from which users can simply layout their own reports.
