Batch Tracking

Resolution provides complete support for tracking of batches of material through a continuous or discrete production environment. Batch tracking information is coordinated with plant inventory, laboratory analyses and movement management information to provide powerful lot genealogy reports. This can also be combined with appropriate data on equipment from real-time data collection systems.

Benefits

  • Individual identification of all batches
  • Batches can be in many locations over time, and can be in multiple locations at the same time.
  • Multiple batches can be in the same location at the same time.
  • Batches can be tracked through processing equipment and silos / tanks
  • Quality data can be attached to a batch or a batch transfer, or Lab measurements attributed to the batch can be obtained by collecting data at batch locations
  • Batches can be split, combined and renamed
  • Complete forward and backward genealogy maintained between batches/locations
  • Specific actions on batches tracked as events e.g. classification, re-classification
  • Supports planning of batch activities

Features

Batch tracking makes use of the inherent Resolution capability to:

  • Track Movements of material from one location in a facility to another location
  • Maintain a history of what material is in any location at any time
  • Store / access Laboratory data
  • Store / access Real-time data
  • Track Events
  • Maintain Plans / Schedules

Movement Tracking

Batches can be defined at processing equipment or in silos. As material is moved from location to location in the facility, batch genealogy is maintained. A complete audit trail of batch/silo to batch/silo to batch/silo can be regenerated.

Batch quantity information is obtained by following the material transfers around the facility.

When a batch is created an event is defined which marks the beginning of the batch classification audit trail. As batches are classified and reclassified additional events are recorded.

Inventory Tracking

Batches can reside in one silo at a time and be moved around sequentially, or a batch can be split and pieces of it reside in different silos.

Multiple batches may reside in the same silo at the same time. A silo containing multiple batches may be mixed and re-batched

Access to Data

Since the location of a batch is known at any time, Process and Laboratory data that apply to the batch can easily be accumulated.

Sample and measurement information is retrieved for appropriate time periods in the processing or storage facilities. In addition, final certification results may be attached to the batch itself.
